John has a solid background in electrical engineering having served a time honoured apprenticeship gaining practical experience in both construction and facilities management. With a passion for the industry, John developed his career as a design engineer whilst achieving ONC, HNC and BSc (HONS) in Building Services Engineering.

John has gained a multitude of experience with multidisciplinary consultancies in a range of sectors including defence, education and healthcare. In recent years, he has specialised in the critical systems sector working with a design and build contractor taking projects from inception to completion, achieving accelerated programmes and hard-pressed budgets.

Committed to professional services, John is registered as an Accredited Tier Designer with the Uptime Institute demonstrating a clear understanding of resilient power systems and redundant cooling topologies.

As a hands-on designer, John has managed projects through to completion, being registered as an approved person (AP), has energised new installations in a methodical manner and safe environment. John has also taken on the role as commissioning manager, ensuring each element of the project works harmoniously following rigorous integrated systems testing.
