Founder and Managing Director
Simon is a Chartered Engineer who has worked within the electrical/construction industry for the last fifteen years; contributing his skills to on-site electrical installation, leading edge
electrical design and strategic client facing roles. During this time, he has acquired his GNVQ electrical installation certificate - Level 3, BTEC ONC, HNC, BSc (HONS) in Building Services
Engineering, a Masters in Research and is currently studying for a PhD in the Built Environment at the University of Salford.
Simon is experienced in leading the design, specification, and supervision of mechanical and electrical services installations for the commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, retail and
residential sectors. Commercial and managerial skills gained from his client facing role are invaluable in today’s construction industry.
Simon's position upon the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers West Midlands Committee enables him to promote the Building Services Industry to the wider construction sector, something that he believes is fundamental to the continued success of the profession. He has also acted as a regional interviewer for CIBSE for the past four years.
John Taylor BSc(HONS) MCIBSE ATD
Director
John has a solid background in electrical engineering having served a time honoured apprenticeship gaining practical experience in both construction and facilities management. With a passion for the industry, John developed his career as a design engineer whilst achieving ONC, HNC and BSc (HONS) in Building Services Engineering.
John has gained a multitude of experience with multidisciplinary consultancies in a range of sectors including defence, education and healthcare. In recent years, he has specialised in the critical
systems sector working with a design and build contractor taking projects from inception to completion, achieving accelerated programmes and hard-pressed budgets.
Committed to professional services, John is registered as an Accredited Tier Designer with the Uptime Institute demonstrating a clear understanding of resilient power systems and redundant cooling
topologies.
As a hands-on designer, John has managed projects through to completion, being registered as an approved person (AP), has energised new installations in a methodical manner and safe environment. John
has also taken on the role as commissioning manager, ensuring each element of the project works harmoniously following rigorous integrated systems testing.
With dedication to Client satisfaction, John takes both a professional and pragmatic approach to engineering, enjoys his profession and promotes a positive attitude towards friends and colleagues
within the industry.
